I'm hosting a demo meeting (short presentation, practice meeting, and plenty of Q&A time). The target audience are for those who have never been to any 12-step group or those who are a familiar with 12-step groups, but would like to know more about S-groups.
I've been an active member of a 12-step fellowship in a category called S-groups. S-groups is an umbrella term that encompasses sex, love, porn, fantasy, lust, compulsive masturbation, voyeurism, extra-marital affairs, prostitution, massage parlors, and other sexual obsessions.
I heard a quote that 12-step groups are the Western world's gift to the rest of the world. What that means is that Eastern religions have given us yoga, mindfulness, acupuncture, etc. So much wisdom and depth! Well, Alcoholics Anonymous and the HUNDREDS of 12-step groups that are based on its principles are an invention of the Western world. Since their inception, millions of people have found help, support, and fellowship - daily reprieve from what everyone else had written off as hopeless cases.
